Australian Aborigine

Australian Aborigine

This guy was sitting in the middle of the city with his blow pipe thing trying to tell stories about the hardships he's been through as an aborigine.

Am I a criminal?

Australia is more commenly known to have been started as a penal colony. From the Australia article at wikipedia:

After sporadic visits by fishermen from the north and by European explorers and merchants starting in the 17th century, the eastern half of the continent was claimed by the British in 1770 and officially settled as the penal colony of New South Wales on 26 January 1788.

The word penal colony is refered to a prison farm.

That being said, and also my previous updates, my current experience has only added to the humor of the situation.

I was on the way with my hosts to the city when we noticed about 6 asians surrounding a car on the side of the street. As we were walking by, we could help but look to see what they were doing. Turns out they were trying to pick the lock of a running car. No one was inside. It looked like they were breaking into their own car, but we couldn't tell for sure. One of the asians turn to my host and asks if he has any experience breaking into a Lancer (does he look like he does?). My host mentinos he use to own a car just like that (I wonder what happened to it..?) and told him how to do. Then he continues to help him:
breaking in maybe

Well, he wasn't able to get in, so we left them to break into their "own" car. On the way back from the city, we noticed the car was gone.

Breaking in

Recently our apartment was broke into. Well, tonight the tables were turned and we had to do the breaking in. After dinner at a steak house (which had amazing steak) and dessert at an ice cream parlor, we got home to realize we didn't have the keys to the apartment.

Luckily I left my window open to my room. The main part of the apartment was not accessable. We've done a good job of locking the screen door and windows. But I left my window open, but there was a screen in the way. No bother, it looked like it had been pryed open before.

Oh yea, the apartment is on the 2nd floor. So I had to scale the wall and fence of the downstairs neighbor. I made the mistake of slipping and falling into their poarch. Soon they came out to see what the ruckas was about. We explained what had happened and he oftered his help.

All I needed was a firm foothold to lift myself up to the 2nd story. I was able to shimmy my way up and easily got into the window.

Now we all have keys, so hopefully we won't make the same mistake twice.
