Out with the old, in with the new
Today was a sad and joyful day.. The sad part was my camera (Sony DSC-P93) died. Turns out the iris does not open anymore. This was a bad thing for me. As you currently know, I'm in Australia, and Teri flew in today. The last picture I took with the old Sony was of Teri right after she got off the plane. Which leads into the joyful part.
Teri and I have been apart for 6 weeks now. It was good to finally get back together. It was the first time we've been apart really. The only other time was an overnight campout with my scouts. Quite a big chunk to make it our first.
Well, the new camera is an Olympus Mju 720 SW. It wasn't exactly what I was wanting. I was expecting to get a newer Sony Cybershot (p200 or greater was what I wanted), but my hand was kinda forced into making this choice. I'm going to the Austrlian Zoo tomorrow, and I need a camera.
We also made a nice long trip in the Queensland Transit line. After making a trip from Brisbane City to Milton a time or two, we needed to get back to Milton to have dinner with some friends. We had about 10 minutes to get from Birsbane City to Milton, which consist of a 4-5 minute train ride and a 5 minute walk. Just enough time. Well, when we were in Brisbane City, it was rush hour and we asked a transit worker which train to get on to get to Milton. He told us the wrong train, it couldn't have been more wrong. Turns out it was an Express Train to Deerah, I think thats spelled right. Well, the train didn't stop for about 8 or 9 stops. It finally stopped and we good off and told a trainsit worker what happened.. "Oh no" was his response. He told us which train to get back to Milton (which was right), and we were only 30-45 minutes late.
What did I learn? Trust noone.
